I’m confident you’ll find my personalised Individual Therapy beneficial and inspirational.

Hypnosis

Harnessing the power of the unconscious mind to relieve common problems

Awareness of the self at a subconscious level provides the unique opportunity to explore what we suppress that is ultimately keeping us from full health and wellbeing.

Phobias, habits and addictions. We all have things in our lives that are hard to shift. Whether its chronic pain, insomnia, weight issues or smoking, hypnotherapy sessions help clients achieve transformational change even where habitual behaviours and fears are deeply embedded.

Hypnosis has a solid empirical scientific evidence base for the treatment of addictions – substance abuse, smoking, eating disorders – phobias, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic and acute pain. When used in a clinical setting by a qualified clinician it is an extremely effective treatment for promoting behaviour change.

Hypnosis can create a highly relaxed state of inner concentration and focused attention for patients, and the technique can be tailored to different treatment methods, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy. Patients also can become more empowered by learning to hypnotize themselves at home to reduce chronic pain, improve sleep, or alleviate some symptoms of depression or anxiety.

I welcome the opportunity to talk further about hypnosis and how it could help you.

Clinical Supervision

Supporting your clinical practice through critical reflection, accountability and professional development

Social workers and counsellors are required to undertake regular supervision as part of adhering to the ethical standards and code of practice of their profession. Supervision gives the supervisee an opportunity to critically reflect on their clinical skills and knowledge through case review and reduces the risk of serious oversight. Supervision is an important space in which the supervisee examines and reflects upon their own feelings, thoughts and behaviour and general approach to their work and clients.

I offer clinical supervision for new graduates and experienced clinicians working as social workers, counsellors and other allied health professionals. As an accredited mental health social worker I can provide you with the necessary supervision requirements to gain your Mental Health Accreditation with the AASW.

Group supervision is also offered on a regular basis in the workplace for health and disability workers.

Mindfulness Coaching

Cultivating moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment with self compassion

Looking for relief from stress, anxiety and overwhelm? As a caring Mind-Body psychotherapist I will guide your journey to discover how you fully experience life, moment by moment and find inner stillness amongst the busyness of daily life.

Mindfulness allows us to be more attentive to the pleasant events in our day to day world and helps us be more skilful in navigating times of stress and suffering. Group sessions also available.

Our minds are often busy – when we’re not reliving the past, we’re planning the future. Rarely are we in the present moment. Mindfulness is simply being aware of what is happening moment to moment, without getting lost in the experience.

The body’s sensations and the contents of the mind are all witnessed from a place of pure awareness. Here’s a useful analogy: it’s like sitting in a movie theatre and watching the action on the screen, instead of thinking that you’re in the movie.
